Yeah, my problem is the same as yours. I hope they fix it soon I'm just worried it might end up like Google's Antigravity. Hopefully not |

It doesn’t look like an individual account issue anymore. Multiple users are reporting the same behavior at the same time, which usually points to a backend change or temporary rollout adjustment rather than something wrong with a single subscription. If the models were available earlier and suddenly disappeared, it’s likely GitHub is updating the Copilot model lineup or temporarily adjusting availability while changes are deployed. At this point the most useful thing is for GitHub to clarify whether this is an intentional update to the Pro plan models or a temporary issue with the model picker. Seeing several people confirm the same behavior strongly suggests it’s platform-side. |

Yeah, seeing the same thing here. Yesterday everything looked normal and today a bunch of models just vanished from the list. Feels more like a backend rollout or feature flag change on GitHub’s side rather than a local VS Code issue. If multiple people are seeing it at the same time, it’s probably not a configuration problem. Hopefully it’s just a temporary change or a staged update. |

Having the same issue across several paid Copilot Pro subscriptions. This is an outright scam! I gonna open a support ticket and ask for any compensation caused by the downtime... 😠 |

Same here. Looks like a platform-side change rather than a local issue. |

same issue on me. It would be good if Github pre-announced updates like this. |

I'm in the same boat. I want to believe this is a temporary issue and not that they are changing plan features without updating the feature descriptions. |

Hi everyone! We’re aware of the issues some users are experiencing affecting model visibility and have created a dedicated discussion where we’ll share updates. If you’re experiencing this as well, please share your details there and we hope to have an update from engineering shortly. |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
Hello,
I am currently subscribed to the GitHub Copilot Pro Plan, which I switched to on March 14, 2026. Previously, I was using the GitHub Copilot Student Plan, but I noticed that several AI models (including the Sonnet and Opus models) were removed from the available model list. Because of this limitation, I upgraded to the Copilot Pro Plan in order to regain access to those models.
On March 14 and March 15, I was able to successfully use Sonnet 4.6 in my VS Code environment without any issues.
However, as of March 16, I noticed that several models have suddenly disappeared from the model selection list in my VS Code GitHub Copilot extension. Specifically:
-Sonnet models are no longer appearing
-Codex 5.3 is also missing
-Several other models listed in the official documentation are not visible
According to the official documentation for supported models: https://docs.github.com/en/copilot/get-started/plans

These models should be available depending on the Copilot plan, and since I am currently on the Copilot Pro Plan, I expected them to remain accessible.
However, in my VS Code IDE, the model list now only shows a limited set of models, and many from the documentation are missing.
