Quick reality check: If you want to lock your repos down to an office IP, the GitHub Team plan won't cut it. That feature is the "velvet rope" of the Enterprise Cloud tier ($21/user). Think of it this way: Team ($4/user): Great for organizing humans, but anyone with a login can push code from a Starbucks. Enterprise ($21/user): This is where you get the IP Allow List, SAML SSO (no more "forgotten password" tickets), and Enterprise Managed Users (EMUs). It’s a jump in price, but it’s the only way to ensure your code stays within your office walls. You can flip the switch in your settings today, but I’d recommend setting up your static IP ranges before you toggle the "Restrict" button otherwise, you might accidentally lock yourself out of your own house! |
